Privacy policy

Gifttik helps you choose gifts. To do that we keep what you tell us about yourself and the people you buy for, and the answers they give. We use it only to suggest gifts. We don't show ads, we don't sell data, and we don't use tracking cookies.
Gifttik is run by Muhammad Sajawal (trading as Silivent Technologies), Pakistan ("we"). Questions: [email protected].
What we collect
When you use an account
- Account: your first name, email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider), or the name and email your Google or Apple sign-in shares.
- The people you add: names, how you know them, an age range, important dates and any notes you write.
- Quick ideas: the answers you give about someone (interests, budget, occasion).
- Gift ideas and what you do with them: saved, dismissed or gifted, and whether they loved it.
- Location, only if you choose: your approximate location rounded to about 1 km when you tap "Use my location", or a city you type, to show shops near you. Your shopping country and currency.
- Settings: which emails you want.
- Usage events: things like "questionnaire sent" or "store opened", stored in our own database to understand how the product is used. No third-party analytics.
- Billing status: your plan, renewal date and a customer reference from Lemon Squeezy. We never see or store your card.
When someone answers your questionnaire
- The person you send a link to answers in their browser without an account. We store their answers and show them to you, together with the first name you gave us. They see your message and their first name, nothing else about you, and never what you buy.
- Questionnaire links are only for people aged 13 and over. Gifttik refuses to create a link for anyone you list as younger.
When you try Gifttik without an account
- Your answers and the ideas, a random device id kept in your browser, and a one-way hash of your IP address to limit free searches. If you don't create an account, this is deleted after 30 days.
Children
Gifttik is for adults. Children never answer anything or create an account. When you ask for ideas for a child, you (the adult) describe them: an age band and interests. We use that only for that child's ideas.
Why we use it
- To suggest and explain gift ideas, and to show where to buy them (the service you asked for).
- To send the emails you expect: "they answered", "your ideas are ready", reminders you turned on, billing and account emails.
- To keep the service safe and working: preventing abuse, fixing errors.
- To improve Gifttik, using our own usage events.
Who processes it for us
We use these providers to run Gifttik. They process data only to provide their service to us.

Some providers are in the United States. Where data leaves the UK or EU, they are bound by standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record for subscriptions: it handles your payment details under its own privacy policy.
Cookies and storage
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. The app keeps you signed in using your browser's local storage, and the website stores small things like your questionnaire progress or free-search device id. Cloudflare Turnstile checks you're human without tracking you across sites.
How long we keep it
- Your account data: until you delete your account.
- Questionnaire links stop working after 30 days; the answers stay with that person in your account.
- Free searches without an account: 30 days.
- Usage counts may be kept without anything that identifies you.
- Payment records: kept by Lemon Squeezy as tax law requires.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account any time: in the app, Account → Delete account (also at app.gifttik.com/account/delete). This deletes your profile, people, answers, ideas and settings, and cancels a subscription first.
- See, correct or export your data, or object to how we use it: email [email protected]. We reply within 30 days.
- If you answered someone's questionnaire and want your answers removed, email us with the first name and roughly when you answered.
- Turn off emails in Account → Email notifications.
- You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it applies.
